In the traditional workshops of Sanganer, Jaipur, Shah Alam Handmade Paper Industries continues to create paper the way it has been made for generations — slowly, by hand, and with the pure gifts of nature.
Since 1880, we have preserved this timeless craft, sharing India’s handmade paper tradition with the world. Every sheet carries the touch, skill, and soul of its maker.
The handmade paper art of Sanganer is not just a business, but a living part of Rajasthan’s cultural heritage.
Crafting handmade paper heritage in Sanganer, Jaipur for generations.
We are a family of artisans who believe that handmade paper is not just produced — it is born through patience, touch, and tradition.
Every uneven edge is not a flaw, but a signature of authenticity. Each sheet reflects the individuality of the artisan who created it.
For us, perfection is not uniformity — it is soul, texture, and identity.
Natural fibres carefully selected to create strength, texture and purity in every sheet.
Recycled cotton fibres that give strength and smooth natural texture.
Hand-spun fibre that adds authenticity and durability to paper.
Plant-based colours that keep paper eco-friendly and chemical-free.
Clean water used in every stage for softness and purity.
Natural fibres like jute and banana for unique strength.
Eco-friendly reuse of textile waste for sustainability.
Every sheet passes through a slow, careful journey of natural fibres, water, and human hands.
Raw cotton and natural fibres are carefully hand-selected to ensure only pure, high-quality material is used. This step removes impurities and sets the foundation for strong, durable handmade paper.
The selected fibres are washed thoroughly and soaked in clean water for several hours. This process softens the fibres and removes dust and unwanted particles naturally.
The softened fibres are beaten and mixed with water to form a smooth, uniform pulp. This pulp becomes the base material that defines the texture of handmade paper.
Natural plant-based colours are added to the pulp when coloured paper is required. This ensures eco-friendly production without using harmful chemicals.
The pulp is evenly spread using a traditional mould and deckle frame. Each sheet is formed by hand, making every piece unique in thickness and texture.
Freshly formed sheets are gently pressed to remove excess water. This step increases strength and helps the sheet hold its shape.
The sheets are naturally dried under sunlight for a perfect organic finish. After drying, they are trimmed, smoothed, and prepared for final use.
Our handmade paper is scientifically strong, naturally preserved, and built to last for generations.
Extremely high cellulose content gives exceptional strength and archival durability.
Completely free from acids, ensuring the paper does not yellow or degrade over time.
Designed for long-term preservation — ideal for documents, artwork, and heritage records.
Fibres naturally interlock during sheet formation, creating strength without chemicals.
We believe in creating beauty responsibly — without harming trees or natural ecosystems. Every sheet is made using recycled fibres and traditional eco-friendly methods that respect nature.
